I've never used their normal base so I can't compare (maybe a review in the future if I find a tub) but I figured reviewing their best version is best anyway.

I got the soap in PAA's CK-6 formula, which is their more fancier (and $10 more expensive) base featuring exotic oils and things that are supposed to make it better than the soap without the exotic oils. As such, you may want to add a point to the score here or there if you find that feel pleasant. It isn't bad but probably not for me in the long run. I don't especially love that brisk feeling for the extended amount of time that the soap sits on your face. It turns out, it's not my favorite thing ever in a soap. As such this was somewhat of a new experience for my face and when reading the review you should probably take into account how much you like menthol or not. It was also the first mentholated soap I've ever used, though I do use a tonic that has menthol in it before and after my shaves. Thus the name of Cold Spices, which, as a father, I can appreciate that level of dad joke punning in a name.     This is the more analytical scent analysis and I'm comparing to an OG Old Spice aftershave I have and the Shulton aftershave from India. Oldness: How much does the soap smell like OG Old Spice.Soaps will be rated on a few factors and given points from 1-5 for each. Yes, I know that means it won't be exactly scientific but this is going to take a while and I want to use all my other shit too. I'll be shaving three times with each soap, using a variety of brushes and razors, and blades. As such my plan is to test out all the Old Spice options that are out there on as many bases as possible both to try out a variety of bases from different soapmakers and to report back to you on who really nails the scent. They do still make a cream but that's hardly a great soap and it doesn't actually smell like Old Spice. But, as we all know, Old Spice no longer makes shaving soap. I love the scent of Old Spice, so much so that it's the only aftershave I use as I don't really feel a need to splash anything else on.
