May be my upgrade path from the KH310s if that ever is in the cards. Reminded me of the KH310s but with a slight mid bump. Not much low end extension, but extremely clean as low as they went (ballpark 40hz). Each of these stages is filtered by a 4th order crossover filter with phase compensation.Īn additional feature of these compact speakers is that they can be easily rack-mounted with an optional mounting kit. The Mosfet A/B class amplification delivers 150W to the bass driver, 60W to the midrange driver and 25W to the tweeter. As a compact, three-way, high-performance active studio monitor, the SCM25A Pro Mk2 is based around a 6.5/164mm bass driver loaded in a vented enclosure, tuned to 32Hz and featuring a 3/75mm diameter port with flared entry and exit to minimise port air noise. The midrange frequency range is managed by the famous Soft Dome driver created by ATC and world-renowned, in the same "high end" vein, the hand-built woofer at ATC features a carbon cone with a high excursion capacity. The HPs incorporate large diameter coils for greater linearity and increased dynamic range. The passively cooled amp pack also features FET limiting. The integrated tri-amplifier generates 150 W RMS for the woofer, 50 W RMS for the midrange and 25 W RMS for the tweeter. As a complete system, the SCM25A Pro loudspeaker's response is flat within a 2dB window from 74Hz to 17kHz, and the -6dB bandwidth limits are 47Hz and 22kHz the low-end extension being an impressive achievement for a relatively small box like this, and only about half an octave higher than the much larger SCM50ASL Pro.
